With around 180 seats, the Theatre on the Steps is an intimate venue, offering a variety of drama, music and dance events from local and national performers.
For 45 weeks a year, the theatre utilises it's own company of performers for a range of shows including the annual pantomime, alongside a variety of visiting companies, artists and bands.
The Theatre on the Steps is completely run by volunteers, not receiving any funding from the Arts Council or local government.
This hasn't stopped the theatre growing however, with annual audiences rising to over 12,000 in the last 10 years. With customers coming from across the West Midlands and the rest of the UK, the Theatre on the Steps has become a popular attraction within Bridgnorth.
Many great tribute acts have took to the stage including Strictly Abba, Bee Gees Fever, The Stones and much more, a good example of the talent that has performed at the Bridgnorth theatre.
Seasonal events are always held at the theatre such as the Ghost Walk around the Halloween period. The annual pantomime is also a highlight, with this years show being Robin Hood & Babes in the Wood.
